Wilson’s Bead Boutique
VJW Jewellery had been planning on rebranding to Wilson’s Bead Boutique. They wanted to move away from their existing logo and name, which was a little too corporate for their liking. They wanted to upgrade their image to something more memorable, iconic and playful, and better suited to their business.
They needed a fresh brand, something which would show off their unique services of providing custom-made designs and repairs/alterations to beaded jewellery, as well as selling their own creations.
I took inspiration for the logo from their minimalist, bright shop with its clean white walls. The space is accented by splashes of vibrant colour from all the beading supplies and jewellery. It was important to get across that this is a jewellery brand upon first glance, so I experimented with abstract ways of including beading imagery.
Wilson’s received a range of logo options to choose from and refine, until we came to a solution they loved. Circular shapes are prominent throughout the logo, from the beads themselves to the circular serifs in the font, tying the design together in a harmonious way.
